Here are a few highlights from the “Waste Segregation & Management” workshop, conducted on June 5, 2018, World Environment Day at O. P. Jindal Global University. The matter of waste management in India holds paramount importance yet often remains neglected in the public consciousness. Delhi alone produces 10,000 metric tonnes of waste daily. At this pace, we will require additional land for waste disposal, more energy for transportation, leading to increased emission of harmful gases, and further pollution of our water, air, and land.
